First-time author Earl Sorrell Jr. has written a book called Get Right Church: Preparing to Go Home. In it, Sorrell uses real-life examples from his own life, and others, to describe what a Christain life looks like, and how living a Christain life can be the example for other people, particularly young men who are questioning the relevance of God in their lives in these modern times. How is this book innovative? Sorrell is advocating a shift in the way we think about our place in the world and using that change to motivate others to live a life of service and to just be decent human beings.

Meet Adam Frick-Verdine. The father of four daughters, Adam wanted to combine imagination, unique sounds, and a genuine desire to create an interactive audio experience for both children and their parents. Using the podcast format, Adam tells the story of Pear Blossom, based on the Korean story of a young girl who finds her prince. It’s a story that resonates with children of all ages and ethnicity. The point is to get kids to listen to great storytelling with a simple moral lesson. On the podcast, Adam talks about his company, Fablist Stories (pronounced “Fable-List”), and the creative team that brought this story to life. For more information, go to www.fablist-stories.com. Be sure to press LIKE when you finish perusing the website.

We’ll also find out how Adam plans to breathe new life into Lewis & Clark, and other historical people who figured prominently in the rich history of St. Louis. His newest project is called UnHeardofStLouis. With this project, Adam hopes to tell the stories that surround the city of St. Louis with live productions. When something comes from “left field,” it’s so unexpected, sometimes so innovative that it often takes us by surprise. The Out in Left Field! Podcast is about innovation, an edgy way of problem-solving that is unselfish and, most certainly, has a profound effect on our lives. It’s a place where people live with a deliberate creative purpose.

I’m Rosalind Reed, and I’m the host of The Out in Left Field! Podcast.  I am just a regular person who happens to be interested in the world around me. As a creative myself…I’m a writer, blogger, fiction writer, and an entrepreneur…the creative process is very much a part of my life.  What fascinates me, and hopefully my listeners is how the creative process is applied to better the lives of the human race.
